Personal Profile
Dawn, Major General, formerly served as Deputy Political Commissar of a certain unit and Cultural Minister of the original military region, Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Deputy Director of the Senior Committee of the Sichuan Calligraphers Association, and was conferred the title of Lifetime Honorary Chairman of the Sichuan Hard-Pen Calligraphers Association. In his early years, he won awards in national and military hard-pen calligraphy competitions. Driven by personal interest, he persistently studied calligraphy as an amateur, specializing in running and cursive scripts.
He has participated numerous times in provincial-level painting and calligraphy exhibitions, as well as the CCTV Painting and Calligraphy Channel's Spring Festival Art Exhibition and the Hundred Generals and Master Artists Joint Exhibition at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution in Beijing. Some of his works have been included in published art collections issued by more than ten national publishing houses. His works have occasionally appeared in publications such as China Painting and Calligraphy Daily, Moline, Modern Art, and online platforms including China National Art Network, China Contemporary Painters and Calligraphers Network, Sichuan Art Network, Toutiao, Sohu, and Baidu. He inscribed the plaque for the former residence exhibition hall of Li Xianian, former President of China; his works have also been engraved into the stele forest of the Taihang Cultural Park in Shanxi, on Yixing purple clay teapots in Jiangsu, and are collected by the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum in Chengdu.
