Yu He, originally named Zeng Xia, also known as Zeng Zhi, is a painter, poet, and independent artist. She is one of the most thoughtful contemporary female painters. Hailing from Ruijin, Jiangxi, she resides in Beijing, excelling in poetry, calligraphy, and painting.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Calligraphy) from Capital Normal University and completed a research course in Painting and Calligraphy Creation at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. She is a member of the Chinese Poetry Society, the China Couplet Society, a standing director of the Central Plains Poetry Research Association, a member of the Poetry Society at Beijing Lanting Institute of Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting, and a member of the Huo Chunyang Traditional Art Research Association.

She studied traditional Chinese painting under Professor Song Weiyuan from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Professor Huo Chunyang from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. Her works are ancient, elegant, ethereal, and infused with spiritual vitality. Her representative works, “Humming Under the Moon” and “Dream,” were selected for the Danqing Yangzhou National Chinese Painting Exhibition and the 2015 National Chinese Painting Exhibition, both hosted by the China Artists Association. She has published “Selected Works of Yu He: Birds and Flowers.”
