Personal Profile
Chen Jianchun (Chunjiang Mingyue): Member of the Jiangxi Branch of the Chinese Painting Society, member of the Jiangxi Writers Association, and Vice President of the Wuxi Cultural and Educational Promotion Association. Born in Lianhua County, Jiangxi Province—the only county in China named after a flower—Chen leads an unpretentious life, free from superficial elegance or pursuit of fame and fortune. Endowed with extraordinary artistic talent, he is self-taught in painting, with a particular devotion to traditional Chinese ink paintings of lotuses, whose works exhibit the grandeur of a master.  Early in his career as a journalist, he produced abundant literary works. In recent years, he has become deeply immersed in Chinese ink painting, diligently studying and emulating the style of Badashanren, absorbing the spiritual essence and brushwork of the Buddhist monk Badashanren. He believes that Chinese painting must embody a sense of atmosphere, which arises from scholarly cultivation and the transformation of nature into art. His brushwork is refined, harmonious, and full-bodied, achieving both formal accuracy and expressive vitality. The lotuses he paints are ethereal, elegant, and transcendent, as if emerging from the celestial pools of myth onto the paper.  His works have won multiple awards and have been featured in numerous charity auctions. They are collected by foreign enthusiasts, domestic libraries, and television stations, and have been the subject of special features on Jiangxi Television and coverage by multiple media outlets. Among works by female artists, they hold exceptional investment and collection value.
