Liu Qin, born in 1963, is from Xingguo County, Jiangxi. A military calligrapher, vice president of Yuanlaiyeyou Literature Society, and member of the Jiangxi Branch of the China Calligraphers Association. She is proficient in seal, clerical, running, regular, and cursive scripts. In the 1980s, she served as a council member of the Longhai City Calligraphy Association. Her works have been exhibited numerous times at national, provincial, and municipal levels. Her works have been published in the Zhangzhou Daily, Frontline Newspaper, PLA Daily, PLA Pictorial, China Youth Daily, and PLA Grassroots Life, among others. Her representative work, the clerical script piece "Clan of Qin and Han," won first prize in a major competition hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Calligraphers Association and the Nanjing Military Region. She has received the special award twice in the 91st Division Calligraphy Competition and won multiple awards at the army and military region levels. In 1986, she held a solo exhibition at her hometown’s Xingguo Cultural Center (covered by Jiangxi Radio Station).
