Personal Profile

Yang Jianhua, born in 1951 into a family of ceramic artisans in Jingdezhen, originally from Linchuan, Jiangxi. From a young age, he was deeply influenced by his elders and developed a passion for ceramics. At the age of thirteen, he began learning the craft under his father, later becoming a disciple of veteran artisans Li Qicai and Hu Jinsheng from the Ministry of Ceramics Research Institute,studying the formulation of raw material and colored glazes. Currently:
Jiangxi Provincial Master of Original Art and Craft;
National First-Class Technician;
Representative Inheritor of Jingdezhen Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage (Traditional Techniques for Processing and Formulating Ceramic Raw Materials);
Senior Consultant, China Ceramic Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
