Wang Lijun, male, born in September 1954, has loved art since childhood. While in elementary school, he copied characters from comic books; in middle school, he served as the class propaganda commissioner responsible for designing wall newspapers and bulletin boards. In high school, he was admitted to the art school’s fine arts class and graduated after two years of study. In 1973, he went to the countryside for rural assignment and served as the propaganda commissioner at the educated youth settlement. During this time, he was selected to attend training courses at the district cultural center. After returning to the city, he continued working in corporate art and publicity. Following retirement, driven by his passion for painting, he devoted himself primarily to traditional Chinese ink landscape painting.
With the advent of the new century and the advancement of technology, Mr. Wang Lijun became deeply obsessed with calligraphy and painting. Under the guidance of Director Li of the Municipal Calligraphy and Painting Academy, his skills in traditional Chinese ink landscape painting improved significantly. He won a gold medal in an exhibition hosted by the Municipal Museum. After years of diligent study and practice, he is now a member of the China Artists Association.
