Liu Zhiling, courtesy name Zhi Ling, was born in 1961 in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, with ancestral roots in Shandong Yanggu. He is known by the studio name Huoyan Tang Master and currently resides in Beijing, teaching at the Senior Cadres University in Daxing District, Beijing.
      Shandong Provincial Artists Association member, Council Member of the China Forestry Artists Association, Member of the Presidium of Liaocheng City Artists Association, Chairman of the District Artists Association.
     
      In 1984, he became a disciple of Mr. Xu Jiujun to study traditional Chinese painting; in 2014, he took Mr. Dai Zhenyu of the China Ink Research Institute as his master, specializing in landscape painting, and is currently Vice President of the China New Ink Painting Research Institute. His landscape paintings have been published in numerous art journals. Mr. Long Rui evaluated his works as "unique and majestic compositions, skillful brushwork rich in artistic flavor, possessing regional and contemporary characteristics, blending tradition with innovation."
      His work "Qingzi Yong Bao" was awarded the "Hanmo China Gold Award" by the China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute and he was honored with the title "Art Master of Hanmo China." The magazine "Art Outlook" featured an introduction to him. Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House and Shandong Picture Press have successively published collections of Liu Zhiling's paintings.
      Recent landscape and bird-and-flower paintings have been collected by art enthusiasts both domestically and internationally.
