Qin Kun: Original name Yu Jun: native of Guilin, Guangxi, China; renowned Chinese painter and calligrapher, National First-Class Artist. He has studied under masters such as Su Zuxing, Huang Gesheng, and Zhang Fuxing. For over a decade, he has devoted himself to meticulously copying masterpieces from the Song and Yuan dynasties, persistently practicing sketching from life, and deeply engaging in creative work, specializing in flowers and birds, peonies, and landscapes. In 2005, he furthered his studies in the Advanced Research Class for Flower-and-Bird Painting at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. His works have been repeatedly exhibited in national and provincial-level art exhibitions and have received awards. Numerous works and biographical entries have been included in more than 80 major reference books and albums, such as "Famous Chinese Painters and Calligraphers of the 20th Century" and "World Catalogue of Painters and Calligraphers," and have been displayed at the China National Art Museum, as well as in exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, earning multiple major awards and being collected by galleries and collectors both domestically and internationally. In 2015, he joined the Advanced Research Class for Flower-and-Bird Painting at Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Art Communication, Communication University of China; a full-time painter at the Chinese Ink Painting Academy; an academician of the China Academy of Painting; a member of the Guangxi Artists Association; and a visiting professor at Guangxi Arts University!
