Personal Profile

Liu Donghong was born in August 1986 in Wutong, a renowned town for painting and calligraphy in Guilin, Guangxi. In 2006, she furthered her studies at the Fine Arts Department of Guilin Normal College. In 2007, she became a disciple of renowned artists Huang Renfei and Li Linhong, specializing in landscape painting. In 2012, she sought guidance from painter Qiao Jianye of Xi'an Garden. To date, she has continuously innovated upon traditional techniques, developing her own distinctive style. Her works are widely popular across the country, and she has participated numerous times in brush meetings and art exhibitions. In 2008, her work "Ten Thousand Li of Pine Wind" won the Third Prize at the Municipal Art Exhibition celebrating the Olympics. In 2013, "Mist and Clouds over Mount Tai" won the Third Prize at the National Biennial Exhibition. In 2018, "Rural Melody and Elegant Residence" won the Second Prize at the "Covenant of the Countryside" Art Exhibition.
