Li Xian
Li Xian, courtesy name Zhi Chu, was born in 1992 in Guilin, Guangxi. She graduated from Guangxi Arts University and is currently a member of the Guangxi Branch of the China Artists Association, a National First-Class Artist, and Vice President of Shangyuan Pavilion. Since childhood, she has had a deep passion for painting and studied traditional landscape ink painting under the renowned artist Mr. Zhou Song. Grounded in tradition, she does not merely imitate the ancients; her work combines classical techniques with Western color theory and perspective. The most valuable aspect of her art lies in its uniqueness—her style is distinct from predecessors, contemporaries, Western artists, and even fellow painters! She subverts while inheriting, and inherits while subverting, ultimately forging a distinctive personal style!
In 2008, her work "Home Mountain" was selected for the First China Landscape Painting Art Exhibition (sponsored by the China Artists Association).
In 2008, her work "Morning Mist over Huangshan" was selected for the Commemorative Exhibition of Chinese Painting Masters on the Centenary of Liu Shaoqi's Birth.
In 2010, her work "Autumn Tints the Village" was selected for the 8th Western Earth Sentiment Exhibition of Chinese Painting and Oil Painting (sponsored by the China Artists Association).

In 2014, her work "Solitude Amidst Pines and Mountains" was selected for the Third Jiangnan Cultural Festival – The Affection for Dachi: Commemorating Huang Gongwang Chinese Landscape Painting Exhibition (sponsored by the China Artists Association) and was collected by the Guangxi Nanning Art Museum.
