Personal Profile

Lu Yongfu, born in 1984 in Wutong Calligraphy and Painting Village, Guilin, Guangxi, studied at the Art Department of Guilin Normal University in 2007. From 2009 to 2011, he apprenticed under the renowned painter Li Honglin, specializing in landscape painting. To date, he has continuously innovated on the foundation of tradition, developing his own unique style. His works are bestsellers across the country and have been exhibited multiple times and participated in brush gatherings. He is currently a council member of the Wutong Calligraphy and Painting Association and a contracted artist at Yunshengzhai Calligraphy and Painting Studio. In 2008, "Might of the Great Wall" won the Memorial Award at the Olympic Fine Arts Exhibition. In 2014, "A Smooth Sailing" won the Third Prize at the Youth Art Exhibition. In 2018, "Elegant Residence" won the Third Prize at the Mountainside Encounter Art Exhibition.
