Liu Shiquan, born in 1964 in Wanzhou, Chongqing, is now a resident of Shenzhen, Guangdong. He is known as "Sunshine." Influenced by his father from an early age, he has deep love for painting, calligraphy and carving. During his teaching career in middle school, he deeply studied the theory of painting and calligraphy and copied the works of famous masters. Especially during the process of glass flower carving, he was guided by master craftsmen, and his carving and painting skills became more proficient. Later, due to his long-term persistence in diligent practice and research, he has inherited and innovated in the field of Chinese painting and calligraphy. He is currently a member of the China Association of Couplets; a member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphers Association; a registered teacher for the Chinese Calligraphers Association's calligraphy grading; a visiting professor at Oxford Art College; vice president of the Artists Committee of China Poetry Painting and Calligraphy Network; vice president of the New Arts Group of the China Century Great Sampling Calligraphy and Painting Academy; secretary-general of the Working Committee of the New Arts Group of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association; art consultant of the Star Avenue Program Group of CCTV Comprehensive Channel; signed calligraphy artist of the China Poetry Spring Festival Gala; signed painter of the Xu Beihong Art Committee; director of the Confucius Branch of the China Wang Yizhi Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute; standing director of the Cultural Information Association of China and guest researcher; calligraphy and art exchange celebrities between China and South Korea, China and Hungary; senior art master; People's Artist of the Republic; World Outstanding Chinese Artist; China New Great Wall Outstanding Artist; awarded by CCTV: "New Era - Virtuous and Artistic Excellent Art Figure Ambassador"; Honored Figure of Contemporary Chinese Art; International Focus Two Sessions Voice Special Invited Calligraphy Master.
