Wang Zikui
Wang Zikui, from Shangcheng County, Henan Province, is a member of the Zhumadian City Artists Association and a member of the International Jinghezhai Xinmiao Calligraphy and Painting Society. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanyang Normal University in 2006, during which time he served as president of the university-level calligraphy and painting association. He is skilled in landscape, flower-and-bird painting, and calligraphy. He is currently teaching at the Second Senior High School of Queshan County, Henan Province, and has long been engaged in research on college entrance examination art education. In 2012, he became a member of the Henan Province Calligraphers Association.
Artistic Experience:
In 2003, he was awarded the title of "National Outstanding Calligrapher and Painter" at the Jinghezhai International Youth Calligraphy and Painting Competition,
In 2004, he won the first prize in the 3rd "New Century Artistic New Talent" Grand Prix. In the same year, he won the silver award in the "Ode to Mother" Chinese Domestic and Overseas Youth Calligraphy and Painting Competition,
In 2006, he won the first prize in the 3rd "Huangshan Cup" International Youth Calligraphy and Painting Competition and was awarded the honorary title of "2006 China's Top 100 Teenage Calligraphy and Painting Educators,"
In April 2007, his work on Mao Zedong's poetry won the gold medal in the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of Mao Zedong's "Talks at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art," and was collected and archived, and he was awarded the honorable title of "Contemporary Outstanding Calligrapher and Painter,"
In June of the same year, he won the gold medal in the national calligraphy and painting competition commemorating the 1450th anniversary of Ouyang Xun's birth, and his work was included in "Selection of Masterpieces by Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters," and he was awarded the honorable title of "One of the Top 100 Chinese Calligraphers and Painters of the 21st Century,"
In July of the same year, his ink painting "Landscape" was permanently collected by the Zhugou Revolutionary Memorial Hall in the event commemorating the 100th anniversary of Zhu Lizhi's birth,
In October of the same year, his calligraphy work was included in "World Excellent Experts and Talents Directory."
In 2021, he was awarded the title of "National First-Class Artist."
