Member of China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Henan Province Member of the Artists Association. Born in Luoyang, the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties known as the City of Peonies. Since childhood, she has been passionate about painting and calligraphy, studying traditional Chinese painting under the master Wang Xiu. In addition to her teacher Wang Xiu’s guidance, during her early years of advanced study at the art academy, she received instruction from renowned contemporary painters such as Wu Zuoren and Li Keran. Later, she was personally taught and guided by Professor Qiao Weiming, member of the China Artists Association, art researcher of the China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and president of the Luoyang Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute. Drawing on the strengths of these masters, she developed her own distinctive style: her peonies exude elegance and grandeur with powerful brushwork; her landscapes are clear and picturesque, vast and majestic; her galloping horses display dynamic, spirited postures; her flowers and birds are lifelike... Her works have been sold worldwide and collected by many renowned individuals. She has participated in numerous competitions and exhibitions, winning awards multiple times. Her award-winning works have been compiled into books and widely circulated, demonstrating innovation.
Numerous landscape and flower-and-bird paintings have been collected by major museums. She has been listed among the leading figures in contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy.
In November 2006, at the National Exhibition Art Festival auction, her work "Eight Horses" was sold for RMB 680,000 and collected by a Singaporean businessman.
In November 2006, at the National Exhibition Art Festival auction, her work "Ice-Clear and Jade-Pure, Fragrance in the Bones" was sold for RMB 720,000 and collected by a Singaporean businessman.
In July 2008, she was awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist."
In February 2010, at the Hong Kong International Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Exhibition, her work "Hong Yun Dang Tou" was sold for RMB 1.2 million, and she was awarded the titles of "Chinese Artistic Figure" and "Master Artist of the Ages."
In May 2011, in recognition of the outstanding achievements of renowned painter and calligrapher Wang Qiaoxia (Ms.) in the field of art, after strict review by the China Cultural Arts Expert Evaluation Committee, she was awarded the honorary title of "National Outstanding Cultural and Artistic Worker."
In March 2012, she was granted the title of "Most Influential Artist Among Global Chinese" by the Sinology Society.
In June 2013, her work "Qing Yu" (Jade Hairpin Flower) was collected by a Hong Kong tycoon for RMB 890,000.
In March 2014, her work "Nine Fish Leaping Over the Dragon Gate" was collected by a Macau tycoon.
In November 2015, she became a featured artist of the Australia Sydney China Calligraphy and Painting Network.
In 2019, she was awarded the honorary title of "Model Artist of the Year" and received the designation "Promoting Art: Virtue and Artistic Excellence."
After evaluation by the expert committee of the China Calligraphy and Painting Transaction Pricing Assessment Center, the pricing standard for Wang Qiaoxia's (Ms.) calligraphy and painting works has been assessed at RMB 90,000 per square foot.
