Lu Delong

Lu Delong's Personal Art Gallery, pen name Yusheng, style name Yunyi, pseudonym Shuquan, from Chongqing. Graduated from the postgraduate class of Chinese painting at the School of Fine Arts, Southwest University. Member of the 15th Central Committee of the China Agricultural Workers' Democratic Party for Cultural and Sports Work, Standing Committee Member of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Standing Committee Member of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the China Agricultural Workers' Democratic Party, expert enjoying special government allowance from the State Council. Currently serves as Vice President of the Chongqing Municipal CPPCC Art Gallery. Also serving as Professor at the Training Center of the China Calligraphers Association, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Painting and Calligraphy Academy, Chairman of the Chongqing Youth Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of the Chongqing Calligraphy Education Research Association, Standing Vice Chairman of the Chongqing Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, and Standing Committee Member of the Chongqing Youth Federation. In 1999, he was awarded the title of "China's Top 100 Calligraphers and Painters" by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. In 2006, he was awarded the title of "Top 100 Chinese Calligraphers and Painters in the World." Major contributions: Published monographs "Selected Calligraphy of Lu Delong" (published by Rongbaozhai Publishing House), "Lu Delong's Painting and Calligraphy," "Lu Delong's Fan Surface Painting and Calligraphy," and "Lu Delong's Painting Collection." Edited "Selected Works of Famous Painters and Calligraphers in the 21st Century" in nine volumes, and authored "Practical Hard Pen Calligraphy Tutorial." His calligraphy and painting works have participated in exhibitions organized by the China Artists Association and the China Calligraphers Association and have won awards. Among them, he won the highest award "National Award" at the 7th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition. His works are collected by the Great Hall of the People, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Culture, Beijing University, Gansu Museum, Japanese Art Museum, Korean National Museum, and Mr. Li Ka-shing, a famous entrepreneur, and are inscribed on plaques and steles and displayed at more than 100 scenic spots such as Emei Mountain, Huangshan Mountain, and Fengdu Ghost City. His calligraphy and painting works have been given as gifts by the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, the Chongqing Municipal Government, and the Chongqing Municipal CPPCC to international friends and friendly cities. He has been invited five times to serve as a judge for international and national calligraphy and painting competitions. His achievements are included in 16 encyclopedias, such as "Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Painters and Calligraphers."
