Personal Profile

Chen Yanyu, originally named Chen Qianwen, Jia Yun, also known as Qingjingshanren, Qingshan Sanren, Laoping, native of Yingchuan, started learning calligraphy and painting at the age of 9, collected ancient books, coins, paintings and other collectibles, mostly from family collections and rural purchases. At the age of 11, he was well-known for his calligraphy and painting in the countryside and was widely praised. At the age of 18, the school held a personal calligraphy and painting exhibition for him. For more than twenty years, he has been devoted to the study of authenticity of various calligraphy and painting works and the creation of calligraphy and painting. He is skilled in the authentication of modern and contemporary calligraphy and painting, and is a well-known contemporary calligrapher and painting expert. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Collectors Association, and an academician of the Huaxia Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Beijing. He serves as a collection advisor for many art business institutions, and as a calligraphy and painting authentication expert on multiple national treasure identification platforms, as well as an expert in calligraphy and painting authentication on the 7788 Collection Network. Mr. Chen has conducted in-depth research on the collections of major museums across the country. He has also personally imitated a large number of masterpieces of famous artists. With more than 20 years of experience in studying calligraphy and painting, he has strong brushwork skills and high artistic cultivation, which enabled him to quickly stand out in the domestic calligraphy and painting authentication and collection circles, becoming a well-known and highly reputable calligraphy and painting authentication expert in China. His knowledge of calligraphy and painting collection and authentication is extensive. Not only can he "determine authenticity, distinguish right from wrong, and evaluate quality," but he is also skilled in identifying the authenticity of works by using Chinese traditional culture, calligraphy and painting techniques, and other comprehensive factors. He has unique insight, objectivity, and rigor, and has been hired by many domestic art business institutions and individuals as a collection and authentication advisor and an art investment consultant. His own calligraphy and painting collection and investment are characterized by "having good eyesight, courage, and not blindly following," which has made him a role model in the industry, and he has repeatedly created the miracle of finding hidden treasures.
