Li Shangchao, whose real name is Li Shangchao, is a famous contemporary Chinese poet, calligrapher, and lyricist. He is the vice chairman of the Chongqing Public Security Writers' Association, the chairman of the Writers' Association, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Writers' Association, a director of the National Public Security Writers' Association, and a signed writer. He is also the vice chairman of the Chongqing Popular Music Association. He is a signed artist of the China Education Television programs "Ink and Vermilion" and "Master's Lecture." He has published eight literary monographs, including the poetry collection "Color of the Wind" and "Poetry and Painting of the Country," as well as calligraphy works such as "Appreciation of Li Shangchao's Calligraphy," "National Identity: Calligraphers of Contemporary China Li Shangchao," and "Pioneer of the Times: Li Shangchao's Ink and Paint Shine Across China" postage stamps. His works are collected in museums such as the Shaanxi History Museum, and he is known as one of the four friends of the Great Qin Road painting and calligraphy along with Jia Pingwa. His poetry has been translated into English, Russian, Japanese, and other languages. More than ten of his poetry and prose works have been included in various high school and college elective and reading textbooks, and his poem "The Moon at the Zenith" is included in the university textbook "Selections of 20th Century Chinese Literary Works." Renowned poetry critic Jiang Dengke has compiled an academic monograph "Appreciation of Li Shangchao's Poetry," which provides a systematic appreciation of his poetry. He has received the title of "100 Most Powerful Poets in the Past 100 Years of Chinese New Poetry" and the honor title of "Ten Outstanding Artists with Virtue and Art in Contemporary China." The journal "Famous Works Appreciation" has established a column "Research on Li Shangchao," studying his poetry, calligraphy, and music as a sample of contemporary Chinese arts and literature.
