Chen De'en, also known as Jinxishanren, was born in Chongqing in April 1955. He is currently a National First-Class Art Worker, an International Registered Artist (Senior), member of the Calligraphy Art Committee of the Chinese Couplets Association, member of the National Famous Artists and Calligraphers and Painters Federation, researcher at Oxford Art College, researcher at the China International Modern Art Research Center, director of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association (Hong Kong); Honorary President of the China·Songzhuang International Painting and Calligraphy Academy; Beijing Yihai Danqing Painting and Calligraphy Academy.
His works combine the beauty of classical simplicity with a modern freshness. The ink and brushwork exude a rich sense of life and unique artistic temperament. His works have been exhibited and awarded in many national painting and calligraphy competitions. His personal achievements and works have been published and included in "Chinese Collection"; "Jianning"; "Chinese and Foreign Painting Weekly"; "Collection of Works by National Art Workers"; "Great Classic of New China's Art"; "Selected Works of Chinese Art"; "Chinese Art Yearbook"; "Chinese Cultural Heritage - Selected Works of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters"; "Talents of the Contemporary Art World"; "Prosperous Collection - Chinese Contemporary Artists with the Most Influence"; "Three Masters of Art"; "Nine Masters of the 90s" and other newspapers, magazines and books.
