Zhao Manyun, born in May 1959, is a native of Tianjin, China. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Shaanxi Normal University in his early years, and later studied in the postgraduate class of the Oil Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently a national first-class art master, a member of the Board of Directors of the World Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Sichuan Provincial Artists Association, and a senior arts and crafts master. He has been engaged in higher art education for more than thirty years. He has been living in Chengdu, Sichuan for a long time. From a young age, he has been passionate about painting, and has been greatly influenced by the masters of the Chang'an School. Adhering to the artistic concept of "using the ancient for the present, the Western for the Chinese, and the Chinese for the Western"! Taking nature as his teacher, he has carefully studied the concepts, connotations, skills, and techniques of Chinese and foreign painting. With an academic concept of exploratory and creative exploration, he combines various artistic elements, using points, lines, planes, blocks, volumes, space, light, purity, spirit, subtlety, skill, beauty, simplicity, clarity, etc., integrating artistic cultivation, literary cultivation, philosophy, belief, etc., to create works that embody a grand style and unique excellence! Since childhood, he has practiced ancient Chinese calligraphy and painting, experienced everything from rigorous Western figure drawing to rigorous Chinese figure line drawing, from colorful Western landscape paintings to detailed Chinese landscape paintings, and from large color blocks in Western paintings to freehand brushwork in Chinese painting, flowers, birds, landscapes, and figures. His unique style has gained recognition worldwide! It has received praise and recognition from world art experts! And many experts and collectors have purchased and collected his works!
