Guo Shubing, pen name: Mo Fan, was born in Tianjin, "studied under the renowned figure painter Yang Deshu and master of cicada painting Liu Ping, and received guidance from renowned artists Shi Guoliang, Xue Linxing, and calligrapher Gao Fei; his figure paintings are realistic and lifelike."
He is currently a council member of the China Famous Artists Association, a council member of Guoshu Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and vice president of the Beijing Longmai Hanlin Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
He specializes in figures, landscapes, and flowers and birds. His works have been exhibited multiple times in national, Tianjin, and Hebei art exhibitions, and published in media such as China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, Sohu, and Phoenix News.

In 1993, "Deep Comradeship" won the first prize in the military-organized art exhibition
In 1997, the work "Viewing Lotus" was selected for the Tianjin Calligraphy and Painting Competition and collected
In 2012, "Shao Jun Crosses the Frontier" was selected for the Tianjin Fine Arts, Calligraphy, and Photography Exhibition
In 2019, "Fragrance Drifting Along the Curve" won the first prize in the 3rd China Cup "Folk Cultural Art" Exhibition commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC
