Xu Yongjing was born in Tianjin in 1975, a painter of free-style flower and bird painting. Since childhood, he has been passionately devoted to calligraphy and painting, specializing in free-style flower and bird painting, especially peonies; his works are fresh, elegant, and unique. He is currently a member of the Hong Kong Artists Association, a member of the Board of the Tianjin Calligraphy and Painting Research Society, an academician of the Chinese Poetry Research Association, and a national-level art master. In recent years, his works have often been published in professional newspapers and media, and have been selected for national exhibitions multiple times. His representative work "Green Rhythm" once won the Excellent Award in the "Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up" Global Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Competition. The work "Enjoying Tea and Flowers" was included in the "Guodu Cup - National Art and Calligraphy Works Collection" and won the gold prize. The work "Spring Light in a Refined Room" was included in the "Historical Monument - Collection of Outstanding Works by National Calligraphy and Painting Masters" and won the gold prize. "Drunk in Spring Breeze" was included in the "Cultural Achievements Tour of Comprehensive Well-off Society in China". The work "Spring Rhythm" once won the Excellent Award in the "Ink and Brush Writing the Original Aspiration & Brush and Ink Singing the Party's Gratitude" Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. The work "Fragrance in the Quiet Valley" once won the Excellent Award in the "2018 7th National Calligraphy and Painting Art Competition", and the work "Peony's True National Beauty, Brush and Ink Singing China - Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the First Chinese Hundred Peony Calligraphy and Painting Masters' Excellent Works Collection" won the Excellent Award. The work "Ink Sea's Original Aspiration" won the first prize in the National Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting, and Seal Engraving Competition. The work "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, Beishang Cup National Calligraphy and Painting Competition" won the second prize. The work "Commemorating the 126th Anniversary of the Birth of the Great Leader Mao Zedong and the 44th Anniversary of Sino-Thai Diplomatic Relations" won the gold prize. In 2020, the ink painting work "Wanting to Keep the Fragrance of Flowers Without Lowering the Curtain" won the gold prize and was included in the "Dictionary of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters" and was awarded the honorary title of Sino-Japanese Cultural Ambassador! The "Belt and Road" China National Gift Cup Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the ink painting work "No Day Without This Gentleman" won the gold prize, etc. At the same time, many of his works have been collected by various museums, art galleries, and individual collectors and enthusiasts at home.
