Personal Profile
Shang Kuaile, male, born in 1951, under the sign of the Rabbit, a member of the Communist Party of China, a retired soldier who has experienced agriculture, military service, education, and business. In his youth, he excelled in painting; in his adulthood, he devoted himself to calligraphy, studying regular, cursive, seal, and clerical scripts, with particular emphasis on clerical, seal, and running scripts. Throughout his life, he has been deeply passionate about seal carving and has pioneered the "Lingnan Stone Paving" stone-carving art for forty years. In 2013, he founded the "Grassroots Calligraphy and Painting Pavilion" and established the Shaanxi Qinfeng Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Gaoling Branch, serving as its Director. He also holds positions as Vice President of the Qinfeng Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Vice President of the Shaanxi Xilan Ting Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Council Member of the Shaanxi Shengtang Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Council Member of the Global Chinese Association Weibin Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He has won awards at the Fifth National Senior University Calligraphy Competition, the Shandong Provincial Calligraphy Competition, and other national events, and has been honored with the title of "Most Powerful Calligrapher and Painter Nationwide." He has gifted calligraphy works and donated to impoverished areas, personally visiting impoverished communities in ShanYang and Xi'an, Shaanxi, to present his artworks. He represented a Shaanxi tourism delegation in presenting calligraphy and fast-paced storytelling (kuai ban) to the Hong Kong tourism performance stage. His essays, calligraphy, and fast-paced storytelling have been published numerous times across multiple platforms. He enjoys considerable influence and acclaim in the four counties of Jing, San, Gao, and Lin in Shaanxi Province, as well as in Xi'an City.
