Personal Profile

Qing Songbai, male, has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood and studied under the renowned calligrapher Wu SanDa. He has served as a council member of the Canadian General Assembly of the World Society of Painters and Calligraphers, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association (Hong Kong), member of the Chinese Painters and Calligraphers Association, member of the Shaanxi Provincial Calligraphers Association, researcher at the Shaanxi Institute of Painting and Calligraphy Art, member of the Chinese Hard-Pen Calligraphers Association, member of the Shaanxi Provincial Hard-Pen Calligraphers Association, Vice President of the Shaanxi Liu Gongquan Painting and Calligraphy Research Society, Vice President of the Shaanxi Tang Style Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and Senior Art Consultant of the Xi'an Shengtang Painting and Calligraphy Art Research Institute, among other positions. His works have won more than twenty gold, silver, and bronze awards in national and international painting and calligraphy competitions; his works and biographical information have been included in over twenty major reference works, including The Great Dictionary of Chinese Painters and Calligraphers, Biographical Dictionary of World Chinese Literary and Artistic Figures, World Contemporary Dictionary of Painters, Calligraphers, and Seal Carvers, Collection of Painting and Calligraphy Works Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, Viewing the Qin Charm, Shengtang Painting and Calligraphy, Feng Wine Poetry and Painting, and Painting and Calligraphy Appreciation. Some of his works are collected by collectors and enthusiasts in China, the United States, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Canada, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as by stele forests and art galleries.
