Contemporary Master of Painting Horses Liu Yuanming

Liu Yuanming, styled Yanming, is a National First-Class Artist, Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Academy of Senior Artists under the Ministry of Culture, Vice President of the China Famous Artists Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, President of Beijing Benteng Art Academy (Central Directly-Administered), and painter at the Figure Painting Studio of Rongbaozhai Academy. In the 1980s, he studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His works have been exhibited more than ten times at the National Art Museum of China and he has held over ten solo exhibitions at venues including the National Museum of Chinese History, Beijing Urumqi Art Museum in Xinjiang, Hunan Art Museum, Jilin Provincial Museum, Shenzhen Museum, and the Xu Beihong Memorial Hall. He has also participated in numerous large-scale domestic and international exhibitions, winning an international award in New York, USA, and the grand prize at the World Chinese Art Exhibition in Hong Kong, as well as a gold medal at the National Art Museum of China. He has been honored with the title “Outstanding Chinese Artist Worldwide.” Some of his works are collected by institutions such as the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Zhongnanhai, and museums and collectors in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, as well as the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, Shenzhen Museum, Hunan Art Museum, and Urumqi Art Museum in Xinjiang. His name is included in multiple authoritative reference books such as Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Masters of Fine Arts, Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters’ Authentication Guide, Dictionary of Contemporary World Calligraphy and Painting Masters, Dictionary of Modern International Calligraphy and Painting Masters and Professors, and Who’s Who of Outstanding Experts Worldwide. He has published personal collections including Selected Nude Paintings by Liu Yuanming, Selected Paintings by Liu Yuanming, Selected Chinese Paintings by Liu Yuanming, and Selected Chinese Painting Works by Liu Yuanming, distributed both domestically and internationally.
