Qi Fei was born in March 1966 in Pingdu, Shandong Province, with a university education.

Studied calligraphy starting from Ouyang Xun and Zhao Mengfu, then traced back to the Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), and thoroughly researched Wei stele inscriptions, developing a unique style characterized by robustness, crispness, elegance, and refinement. His works have been published in over 100 newspapers and magazines, including "Art of Calligraphy," "Youth Calligraphy," and "Xizhi Calligraphy and Painting Daily."

Since 2009, major national journals such as "Chinese National Calligraphy and Painting" and "Red Flag Pictorial," as well as media outlets including the People's Daily, Workers' Daily, Xinhuanet, Sina.com, People's Daily Online, and China Daily Online, have featured his work in special columns and dedicated sections. Some of his works have been collected by international friends in Germany, France, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

He has participated in and won awards in numerous competitions, including the "Shenzhou Cup" National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Competition, the Huaxia Calligraphy and Painting Art Masterpieces Exhibition, and the New Century Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Grand Prix. His calligraphy works have been included in various authoritative collections such as "Collection of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters' Works" and "Selected Works of Calligraphers and Painters."
