Personal Profile
Mr. Liang Tianzhu, originally named Shanxi, was from Pingdu, Qingdao [1916--2001], and his ancestral home was at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain, hence he adopted the art name "Tianzhu Mountain Dweller."
He entered a private school at an early age to study Chinese classics and calligraphy. At the age of seventeen, he went to Dalian to study Western medicine, and in 1940, after completing his studies, he returned to Qingdao and, together with his younger brother Liang Yudong, founded Dacheng Hospital, serving as its director. He was renowned for his exceptional medical skills and noble medical ethics, and was a highly respected Western medical doctor.
