Chen Zhiqian
Chen Zhiqian, male, born in 1976, ancestral home in Shandong, graduated from China Academy of Art, currently a researcher in Chinese painting at the China Artists Research Institute, council member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Society, has been engaged in Chinese painting research for over 20 years. In childhood, he studied landscape painting under Master Ye Lumei, one of the founding masters of the Li River School of Painting (the three founders of the Li River School are Li Keran, Bai Xueshi, and Ye Lumei), becoming the direct disciple of the renowned landscape master Ye Lumei. Later, through Ye Lumei’s recommendation, he became a disciple of the master Bai Xueshi to further study landscape painting techniques, pioneering the light red and green landscape style. Bai Xueshi once said: “Chen Zhiqian possesses extraordinary artistic talent; his future prospects are vast and his potential immeasurable.” Chen Zhiqian is currently a National First-Class Artist and Honorary Vice President of the China Bai Xueshi Art Research Institute.
