Liu Yanxin
Liu Yanxin, female, born in Jinan in 1965, is a contemporary renowned painter. She is currently a member of the Shandong Branch of the China Artists Association; a council member of the Chinese Confucius Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute; a member of the Shandong Painting and Calligraphy Society; a member of the Jinan Artists Association; a member of the Jinan Couplet Artists Association; a member of the Jinan Zhong District Artists Association; and honorary president of the Qilin Painting Academy.
Her painting style inherits that of the renowned Chinese painter Wu Changshuo, while drawing on the strengths and stylistic features of other masters such as Ren Bonian, Bada Shanren, Xu Wei, and Wang Xuetao. She has also benefited from direct instruction by the renowned Chinese calligrapher and painter Professor Dai Jun and Professor Yuan Min from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2018, she graduated from the first calligraphy advanced research class led by Professor Dai Pichang;
the same year, she graduated from the inaugural freehand ink-and-wash flower-and-bird painting intensive class in Beijing’s Huaqing Pavilion, studying under the young accomplished painter Professor Zhai Junfeng.
In 2021, she participated in the advanced research class organized by the Shandong Painting and Calligraphy Society; her works have been exhibited multiple times at provincial and municipal levels, winning awards and being collected.
