Zhao Xianru

Zhao Xianru, originally from Changli County, Hebei Province, is currently a resident of Dalian City, Liaoning Province. She is a member of the Liaoning Artists Association, Dalian Artists Association, China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Special Invitee Painter of the China Calligraphers and Painters Creation and Research Center, Council Member of the China Chinese Artists Association, and Council Member of the Calligraphy and Painting Professional Committee of the China Huaxia Culture Promotion Association. She is also the Director of the Dalian Xinyu Kuang Art Academy. She has studied Chinese calligraphy in the styles of Regular Script, Clerical Script, Running Script, Cursive Script, and Seal Script, and specializes in freehand-style peony and landscape painting, developing her own unique style. In 2008, her freehand ink peony won the Third Prize at the Dalian Chinese Painting Exhibition; in 2015, her freehand peony won the First Prize at the First Dalian "Zhenyu Cup" China-Korea Folk Calligraphy, Painting, and Sealing Art Exchange Exhibition, and her running-cursive work "Scenery of the Northern Land" won the First Prize in Calligraphy. Her works are collected by enthusiasts in the United States, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
