Zhang Zhen, styled Yuchen, with the studio name Shanggu, has been studying calligraphy since childhood under Wang Xuecao, a renowned calligrapher from Liaoning. He dedicates his calligraphy to public welfare, expresses his emotions through calligraphy, and takes it upon himself to uphold cultural confidence and inherit tradition, contributing to the legacy of calligraphy!
Personal Honors
His works have won the Second Prize in the "Love Our China Cup" Calligraphy Competition in Liaoning Province, and an Outstanding Award in the "Prosperous China Cup".
In January 2021, his work was selected for the event "Cultural Revival, Persevering Forward - Cultural Practitioners of Chinese Culture Visit Dubai," co-organized by the Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee of the China Popular Culture Society, China Calligraphy and Painting Daily, China Art Appraisal and Auction Committee, Changhe International Auction (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and China International Philately Network, and was printed in a large-scale documentary-style collectible stamp album (including stamps, postcards, Changhe Art Fund cards, and color commemorative coins). He was also honored as a "Cultural Revival Practitioner."
In January 2021, he was awarded the title of "Inheritor of Calligraphy and Painting" by Guoli Artist Network and the Traditional Cultural Art Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Center.
