Personal Profile

Wang Weidong, styled Tairen, is a renowned painter and calligrapher who graduated from the Art Department of Harbin Normal University in 1988, studying under Yu Shun and Yang Zhongwen. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association and the China Artists Association, having won numerous national awards. His works are featured in the "Compendium of Famous Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Their Masterpieces" and "Great View of Chinese Painters and Calligraphers' Masterpieces." He specializes in expressive freehand-style horses and peonies, and his calligraphy is inspired by Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Dong Qichang, Mi Fu, and others. Highly esteemed by the art community, he is a contracted artist of China Painting and Calligraphy Network Television.
