Sun Yongku, male, born in September 1966, from Kaiyuan, Liaoning. Graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. Currently a member of the Liaoning Artists Association and president of the Xiangyashan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, professional calligrapher and painter. In 1982, participated in the First Liaoning Folk Art Exhibition, with his Gongbi painting "Fish Child" selected.
      In November 1983, enlisted in the military. In 1985, his Gongbi painting "Snow Sacrifice" won the first prize at the inaugural calligraphy and painting exhibition of the 64th Army Group.
      In 1991, the propaganda poster "Joyfully Watching the Vigorous Seedlings of China" won the first prize at the PLA Family Planning Art Exhibition. The Military Program Group of CCTV produced a documentary about his achievements and broadcast it throughout the PLA.
      In 1994, his calligraphy work "Qin Shi" and personal biography were included in the book "China's Famous Painters and Calligraphers: A Comprehensive Exhibition".
      In April 1997, his Chinese painting "Changbai Frost Night" won the Outstanding Work Award at the First National Calligraphy and Painting Competition hosted by the China Calligraphy and Painting Scholars Research Association.
      In July 1997, his Gongbi painting "Kinship" was selected for the Liaoning Art Exhibition held by the Liaoning Artists Association to celebrate the return.
      In October 1997, his ink painting "Dragon and Tiger Battle" was selected for the Second Provincial Exhibition of Art Cadres' Works.
      In October 1998, his ink painting "Tranquility" won the Masterpiece Award at the 1998 Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary Masters' Works.
      In May 2011, he was invited to participate in the "Journey into Cultural Cities Series Exhibition — Contemporary Masters' Calligraphy and Painting Invitation Exhibition" hosted by the College of Fine Arts, Qingdao University of Science and Technology.
