Li Haizhong, born in 1961, is from Yixian, Liaoning. He is a member of the Liaoning Artists Association, a member of the Liaoning Chinese Painting Research Association, and a council member of the Jinzhou Artists Association. He graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the PLA Art Academy, receiving guidance from renowned artists such as Liu Dawei, renowned calligrapher Kang Yin (Da Kang), and renowned painter Zhao Huasheng. In 1991, "Small Bridge, Flowing Water, and Homes" won the Excellent Award at the "Qindao Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition; in 1995, he won the First Prize (Adult Category) at the Second Jinzhou National Painting and Calligraphy Competition; in 1997, he won the Excellent Award at the Second Liaoning Provincial Art (Cultural Center) Art Exhibition; in 1998, he held the "Li Haizhong Solo Exhibition" at the Jinzhou Liaoxi Art Center; in 1999, he won the Excellent Award at the Liaoning Provincial Art Creation Achievement Exhibition; in 2001, he won the Gold Award at the 21st Century International Calligraphy and Painting Aesthetics Competition (China, Japan, South Korea); in 2002, he won the Second Prize at the Jinzhou Art, Photography, and Calligraphy Exhibition; in January 2005, he successfully held the "Li Wenxue and Li Haizhong Father-Son Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at the Jinzhou Museum, with multiple works collected by the museum, and in the same year he was appointed as a painter by the Renhe Art Gallery in Beijing. Numerous works have been published in national, provincial, and municipal publications.
