Xie Yongjun, styled Chanxin and nicknamed Shichi, was born in 1973 in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. He has long worked at the Shichi Art Center in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, China, and at the Chanxin Art Studio in Shifo Town, Nanyang City, Henan. He is currently a Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts. He specializes in carving various jade ornaments, handheld pieces, and other artworks, winning numerous awards in national exhibitions. He possesses profound expertise in the structure of various types of jade and skillfully masters the texture and properties of jade materials. Master Xie Yongjun demonstrates highly skilled carving techniques, with sharp, vigorous, powerful, bold, and unrestrained strokes. The transitions between textures and forms in his artworks are natural, dynamic, and smooth. His carved curves are graceful and vivid, lifelike and full of aesthetic appeal, achieving remarkably realistic three-dimensional spatial effects that surpass the visual experience offered by calligraphy and painting. His works are collected by many art museums and prominent collectors both domestically and internationally.
