Wang Shuang, male, Han ethnicity, courtesy name Xuesong, art name Yidi Mo, member of the Communist Party of China, born in the year Jiyou, currently residing in Zunyi, Guizhou Province (the City of Turning Point, the Capital of Conferences). Member of the China Federation of Folk Literature and Art, Member of the China Youth Artists Association, Member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Member of the China National Artists Association, National First-Class Calligrapher.
Since childhood, he has been fond of and passionate about calligraphy and painting art, consistently studying and imitating the techniques of masters such as Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, Wu Changshuo, Sun Qifeng, Liu Gongquan, Yan Zhenqing, Wang Xizhi, Sun Guoting, and Wang Feng in calligraphy and painting. In his study of calligraphy, he not only draws nourishment from tradition but also places special emphasis on learning from the successful cases and experiences of contemporary masters and fellow enthusiasts in the development of calligraphy art, closely integrating the practices of reading rubbings, reading books, diligent thinking, and hard practice. Self-taught in calligraphy and painting for over 30 years, he has never ceased practicing at the inkstone. His calligraphy and painting works have participated in numerous exhibitions and won awards. He humbly serves as an ox for the people and sternly faces the criticisms of thousands. Since 1993, he has successively participated in national-level calligraphy and painting competitions and received numerous honors. He is currently a Standing Director of the China National Art Institute, Art Director of the Sotheby's Cultural Development Center, and Chairman of the Appraisal Committee of Qilu Calligraphy and Painting Art Network.
