Zhang Fangbin, male, Han ethnicity, born in June 1978, known by the art names "Ban Yuan Jun" and "Yuzhu Jushi," with studio name: Yiyage. Hailing from Liupanshui, the "Cool Capital" of China, he has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, diligently studying and practicing with unwavering dedication. He possesses profound insight and research into the styles of the "Two Wangs," Mi Fu, Zhao Mengfu, and other ancient calligraphers. Building upon the inheritance and promotion of traditional culture, he integrates his personal reflections, achieving natural and fluid compositions through structural and linear variations that produce a unique aesthetic effect. His calligraphy style is distinctive, exuding an elegant and refined charm, making his works highly观赏able and collectible……
Mr. Zhang has his own calligraphy studio (Yiyage Calligraphy Studio).
He is currently a council member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the China Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, a council member of the China Online Calligraphy Alliance, Beijing Huaxia Lanting Academy of Calligraphy and Painting Academician, a provincial and municipal hard-pen calligraphy association member, and a National Level One Calligrapher… His calligraphy works have won numerous gold awards…
In March 2018, Mr. Zhang Fangbin was included in the China National Talent Network; in June 2018, his works were officially published and distributed in limited editions by China Post.
