Zhang Congsong, born in 1957, is from Taijiang County, Guizhou, and currently resides in Beijing. He is currently the Honorary Chairman of the Beijing Huaxia Art Gallery, a council member of the Central Direct Organs Calligraphers Association, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a council member of the China Calligraphy Art Research Institute, a member of the China-foreign Celebrities Culture Research Association, and Deputy Director of the People's Daily Life Art Institute, among other positions. His works have been exhibited in the National Exhibition of Middle-aged and Young Calligraphers and Seal Carvers, Sino-Japanese, Sino-Korean, Sino-Singaporean Calligraphy Exchange Exhibitions, International Calligraphy Invitation Exhibition, and Asian Calligraphy Federation Exhibition, winning gold medals multiple times, and he has been honored with the title of "Distinguished Artist with Virtue and Artistry in Contemporary China." His works have gained considerable influence both domestically and internationally, especially his gold-leaf clerical script and finger calligraphy, which are highly acclaimed for their solid technique and majestic momentum. His works have been included in nearly a hundred authoritative publications issued by national institutions, such as "The Collection of Sea Treasures of Chinese Calligraphy" and "Comprehensive Atlas of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Art," and are collected by the Great Hall of the People, the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Zhongnanhai, the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, and numerous museums, art galleries, international friends, and high-ranking officials at home and abroad. He has also published specialized collections and calligraphy textbooks including "Selected Works of Zhang Congsong’s Calligraphy," "Heaven and Earth, One Finger," "Zhang Congsong’s Calligraphy of Qian Hou Chu Shi Biao," and "Complete Epitome Rubbings of Zhang Congsong’s Calligraphy of Thousand Character Text, Vajracchedikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, and The Art of War," and has held solo calligraphy exhibitions in Beijing, Jinan, Hangzhou, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other places.
