Personal Profile

Yang Shunmei, born in 1959 in Guizhou Province, Yangbaotian Village, Xiashi Dong Ethnic Township, Wanshan District, Tongren City. Has been passionate about painting since childhood, worked in the construction industry, and spent spare time learning peony painting from Teacher Sun Yude online, studying ancient landscape painting imitation from Teacher Liu Songyan, and learning landscape painting from Teacher Zhang Guomin. Won awards in the exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan, and received the Gold Prize in the exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Red Army. Currently a member of the Tongren City, Wanshan District Senior Calligraphy and Painting Association.
