Since childhood, I have been fond of freehand peonies. Peonies are regarded as symbols of prosperity, happiness, peace, auspiciousness, and wealth in traditional Chinese cultural consciousness, and are revered as the king of flowers. The artist expresses a spirit of determination and vigor through the depiction of peonies, showcasing a positive pursuit of life and good wishes for the future. In March 2010, the National Runge Evaluation Center evaluated his work at 3000 yuan per square foot.
