Personal Profile
Wang Yangzhou, pen name Gengfu, style name Shizhu Zhai Zhu, studio name Shihetang.
Graduated from Huangshan Art Academy in 1986, under the guidance of Zhang Jianzhong and Zheng Ruoquan. Immersed in painting and calligraphy for over forty years, he has never ceased to work hard. His works trace back to Qingteng and Badashanren, and learn from Kuchan, Shuqi, Xue Tao, and Wang Yisheng. He adheres to tradition, is loyal to brush and ink, and draws on the strengths of many, gradually forming his own style.
In recent years, his ink lotus and eagles have become a unique feature in southern Anhui. His works have been introduced in special sections by multiple media, and many of his works have been given as gifts to foreign friends by local governments and units.
