He Jiandong

He Jiandong, a native of Cixi City, Zhejiang Province, has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood. During middle school, inspired by teacher Huang Yixing, he began studying brush calligraphy and practiced daily. Later, while serving in the military as a guard for Xiang Shouzhi, he sought guidance from the commander. After returning to civilian life, he studied the essential styles of calligraphers Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Liu Gongquan, and Yan Zhenqing. He traveled across China to visit renowned masters, receiving instruction from Ye Shanzhu, Fang Jianchen, Zheng Jintu, Shi Jinghuan, and Master Longshi, among others. Eventually, he became a formal disciple of Teacher Du Fuhua, diligently advancing his artistic skills. He has exhibited his works multiple times at Chen Zhifo's exhibitions, achieving particular proficiency in regular and running scripts. He founded Jingyi Painting and Calligraphy Studio, aiming to cultivate more talents in painting and calligraphy.
