Liu Zorong (original name: Liu Jianhai), born in March 1968, is from Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province. His alias is “Cold Enlightenment Studio Master,” and he is an artist who currently resides in Wenzhou. Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting, calligraphy, and poetry. He studied at the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University in his early years and received guidance from renowned teachers in the field of Chinese painting. After years of research and practice, he has participated in numerous national-level calligraphy and painting competitions and won awards. His artworks have been featured in related magazines, newspapers, and media reports. His style of Chinese painting seeks innovation based on tradition and advocates the integration of poetry, painting, calligraphy, and seals to form a unique artistic style. He excels particularly in bold freehand flower-and-bird paintings and landscapes, standing out with originality and avoiding clichés; in calligraphy, he pursues simplicity and antiquity, having practiced various styles starting with regular script from works like Zhang Qian Stele and Shi Chen Stele, and later studying Wang Xizhi and others, greatly benefiting from these studies. His creations are highly recognized and loved by the public and collectors.
