Yao Yilü, style name Qikan, art name Shishanli, son of Qian. Member of the Chinese Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, Member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, Member of the China Shenzhou Calligraphy and Painting Association, Yunnan Provincial Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association Member, Yunnan Great Wall Calligraphy and Painting Association Member.
Born in 1984 in Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Formerly studied Landscape Design at the College of Art and Design, Yunnan University.
Since childhood, he has been passionate about calligraphy and painting, extensively copying various stele and tablet inscriptions, as well as seal carving. He deeply admires the calligraphy of Wang Xizhi, Yan Zhenqing, Zhao Mengfu, Mi Fu, Huai Su, Wang Duo, Deng Shiru, and Wu Changshuo, drawing nourishment from their works. Simultaneously, through his study of the I Ching and his understanding of its principles, he continuously seeks to develop his own unique philosophy of calligraphy. He possesses a certain comprehension and inheritance of calligraphy art, along with an innovative consciousness. His interests are broad, and he places great emphasis on literary and artistic cultivation.
