Duan Youfa, Art name: Panlongshan Ren. Born in Shanxi Province, Xinjiang County, currently residing in Chaoyang District, Beijing. Graduated in 2016 from the Advanced Research Class on Art Theory and Calligraphy-Painting Creation at Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts.
Duan Youfa has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, initially studying Ouyang Xun's regular script and drawing inspiration from Zhiyong. During his studies at the Tsinghua Advanced Calligraphy Research Class, under the guidance of his master, Master Luo Jinbao, his work experienced a remarkable leap forward. With profound calligraphic skills, his creations are spontaneous and free, yet strictly disciplined—dynamic yet dignified, substantial yet ethereal, bold and vigorous, powerful and robust, with perfect composition. His strokes of lifting, pressing, turning, and bending reflect the classical style of ancient masters. His works are highly cherished by calligraphy enthusiasts and possess significant collection value.
Currently serving as a National Gift Artist, Executive Council Member of the China Western Academy of Painting, Executive Council Member of the Chinese Ethnic Painting Academy, Deputy Director of the Creation Base of the Central Government Agencies Calligraphy Association, and member of the Central Government Agencies Calligraphers Association. Vice Secretary-General of the Beijing Traditional Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association. Vice President of the Guan Gong Cultural Art Research Institute. Honorary Vice President of the Boda Academy of Painting. Council Member of the Ministry of Culture's Comprehensive Rural Art Association. Participated in the Cross-Strait Art Exchange Exhibition in 2014. Featured in the Macao Joint Exhibition in October 2014. Participated in the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 2015, winning an Outstanding Work Award.
