陈丹qing, male, born in Shanghai in 1953, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Artist, writer, and cultural critic[1] 。
1970-1978, he was transferred to rural areas in southern Jiangxi and northern Jiangsu for relocation, during which he self-taught painting, becoming a well-known "sent-down youth painter" at the time. In 1980, his series of paintings titled "Tibet" caused a sensation in both Chinese and foreign art circles, marking the beginning of subverting didactic models and tracing back to Europe, and it is universally recognized as a classic work of epoch-making significance. In addition to painting, he has published more than ten literary works.
Chen Danqing's painting style and writing style both possess an elegant yet simple, wise yet sincere quality, exuding a unique personal charm.
