Tan Philosophy
Tan Zhexue, styled Xuezhong, known as the Master of Baixiang Pavilion, was born in 1983 and is a First-Class Calligrapher. He is from Haikou City, Hainan Province, and has been practicing calligraphy since childhood for 27 years, proficient in regular, running, and cursive scripts, with particular expertise in Ouyang-style regular script. His works have participated in numerous domestic calligraphy competitions and achieved commendable results; his calligraphy was exhibited in 2018 in the exhibition "Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Tan Sitong's Martyrdom" and was permanently collected; in 2019, his work was exhibited in the exhibition "Hanmo Chaoyang: Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China," hosted by the Chaoyang District Calligraphers Association of Beijing. He is currently a member of the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, the China Liberation Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, the Chaoyang District Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Association of Beijing, the Chaoyang District Calligraphers Association of Beijing, the Chaoyang District Agricultural Sector Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, the Pingfang District Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Association of Beijing, and a member of the Ink and Wash Danqing Column of China Education Television's Ink and Wash Danqing Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
