Liu Can, female, courtesy name Momo, was born in 1973 in Hainan. She is currently a member of the China International Calligraphy Artists Association. After years of self-study, she specializes in running script and semi-cursive script. Her calligraphy works were selected for the "China Women's Art Exhibition" in 1999, won the second prize in the "Tenglong Award" Cross-Century World Chinese Young Calligraphers Power Display Competition, and was awarded the title of "Young Calligrapher of the New Century." In 2000, her works were selected for the Hainan Province Five-County Copying Calligraphy Exhibition Tour. In 2003, she won the gold medal at the China Contemporary Literati Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition. In 2013, she was awarded the title of "Charitable Love Calligrapher and Painter" during the "Love for Lushan" Calligraphy and Painting Charity Sale. In 2015, she received the nomination award at the Two Wangs National Calligraphy Competition. In 2017, her works were included in the "Collection of Masterpieces by Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Masters."
